"

that was used in region of
DOUGLAS FROM TOMBSTONE, ARIZONA TERRITORY.
THIS CAME OUT OF A SMALL COLLECTION OF RAILROAD TICKETS USED IN COCHISE COUNTY ARIZONA....BELIEVE THIS IS RARE, USED ON A VERY SHORT LIVED RAILROAD WHICH OPERATED IN ARIZONA TERRITORY, NEW MEXICO & TEXAS.
THIS ONE IS PARTICULARLY RARE, WITH "DOUGLAS" (DOUGLAS ARIZONA, COCHISE COUNTY) HAND WRITTEN ON IT, COMES OUT OF A SMALL COLLECTION OF THESE RARE RAILROAD TICKETS FOUND IN AN ESTATE IN TOMBSTONE ARIZONA (where these tickets were generated)...ALL THESE TICKETS WERE USED IN THE 1904 TIMEFRAME, SOME ARE STAMPED, SOME ARE NOT
Tough to find any old tickets of paper from DOUGLAS A.T.
.
....a smelter town for local mining camps in this era, and not far from
TOMBSTONE & BISBEE A.T.
.........just a terrific old "FIRST CLASS SPECIAL TICKET" for this railroad line.
I found of these in a collection, and will be offering on "buy it now"...
Railroad "first class special ticket" is off white paper with black lettering, rectangular, about 68mm x 80mm in size, and it displays nicely. (please see pictures in gallery) Has a small edge dings, but almost 120 years old, but really nice, and fully readable
Gallery pictures should show you all you need to know. (old railroad special ticket comes in "hard sleeve" to preserve during shipment)
Items like this from El Paso & Southwestern Railroad are just flat out tough to find, because great great grandpa had to purpose to save this for some reason....put it in his drawer or cigar box for 110 years to survive.....I am in this area, and stuff like this simply does not turn up.
Nice old
EARLY TERRITORIAL ERA, DATED EARLY 1900'S ERA "FIRST CLASS SPECIAL TICKET"

EL PASO & SOUTH WESTERN RAILROAD CO.
"...which in this case ran in the region of
TOMBSTONE to historic "DOUGLAS" (hand written) ARIZONA TERRITORY (historic Cochise County smelter
