  • Condition: The upper right corner of the photo has rippling and bends, keeping it from laying flat. SEE PHOTOS. Corners bumped and curled. Many creases and wrinkles in the photo and indentations remaining from items laid on top and written on, causing residual writing, etc.Several small splits along the photo edges, notably one on the top edge. Surface wear to both sides. **.     1940s PACKARD Car Advertisement RARE Slogan Lt. Comdr V.C. Dreiske Large B&W PHOTO Ad.....Box 9b: ltcomdrpackard .
    FLAWED. Large 8"x10" B&W original photo ad. Probably used as a promotional handout. Lt. Comdr. V.C. Dreiske- Country Gentleman. (was deactivated from active duty after the war, circa 1945 and was associated with Ford dealerships in the Illinois area) is shown at bottom of the ad in Naval Uniform with little bubble blurb "I'm going to sell one to Admiral Hyatt--after the war!!"-at the top of the photo is the slogan: Lt. Comdr. V.C. Dreiske- author of the famous slogan "When Better Cadillacs are Built- Packard Will Build Them".  I found mention of "When Better Automobiles are Built- Buick Will Build Them"- but no mention of this variation of the slogan.
