Nautical Rope from abig
44 foot offshore lobster boat here in Maine. Big heavy thick strong rope to make sure your boat is on the mooring when you come back tomorrow!
20 feet of 1 1/2 inch double braid with a 16 inch eye-splice, and a thimble splice at the end. Canvas "chafe guard" can be easily removed. Cautious Captain changed out his mooring line every 3 years.
Twenty feet for Twenty nine dollahs!
Just ovah one dollar a foot!
Hamilton Marine is having a sale right now, and 20 feet of 1 1/4" double braid is .00=.60/ft
That's smaller than this piece of 1
1/2
inch, and no eye or thimble splices!
First pictue is what rope looks like wrapped around a post; 2nd pic is the actual rope you are buying.
The 3rd picture shows different thickness lines in relation to the thickness of a pencil, that we will be listing. This one is the top one, and is the thickest rope we have.
Not the typical 1/2 inch rope you see listed on eBay
which is more like yarn than rope
You don't see line
this
thick listed very often
This is nylon: unlike manila, which must be dried when it gets wet (no leaving it outside). Manila has very little stretch and absorbs almost no shocks. Grandfather had manila on his lobster boat back in the 50s and was some thrilled when nylon became available after World War II.
Nice nautical decor, wrapped around a post
See the last 3 pictures. No, I'm not coming to your house to wrap your post :--) You can do it yourself, and if you need help just ask!
Nice nautical decor, yah know, "coast of Maine". You can almost smell the salt ayah and ocean breeze. Been around the block some, but still nice lookin.
Puhfect foah hanging on the fence
to hang your buoys from
or wrap around a post for that nautical look!
We have other lengths and thickness ropes, see our other listings! We may not get all of the rope listed right off, but we will list them!
