The bar and brackets are made of brass-plated steel and the ends of the bar and the 2 escutcheons/plates are made of porcelain.We found the set unpainted and very clean with no stains. One of the escutcheons/plates has a small chip/break (see photo). Other than that, there are no flaws to report.
