    The Patch:
This Auction is for 1 WWII Vintage 23rd Infantry Division patch with a white back.
This patch is in good condition.  There is some scrapbook paper on the back.  It has a very nice white backing.  This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic.
The History:  The 23rd was activated in May of 1942.  They landed on
    Guadalcanal
and were the first U.S. Army unit to conduct offensive operations against the enemy.  After Guadalcanal, the division moved to defend the
    Fiji
    Islands
.  They trained for their next operation,
    Bougainville
.  In January of 1945 the Americal Division was sent to Leyte in the
    Philippines
    Islands
.  They made landings on several Philippine Islands and led the attack on
    Cebu
city.  After fighaing on Mindinao ended, the Americal Division began training for Operation Olympic, the Invasion of the Japanese home islands.  They Occupied the
    island
    of
    Honshu
until they were inactivated in December of 1945.
Please read my auction requirements. I have changed them based upon feedback and ratings received.
I am accepting eBay's Managed payments for my auctions and fixed price items.  Currently, they are not accepting payments through Paypal.  I will take payments through Paypal.  Please send me a message if you prefer to pay via Paypal, and I will send an invoice the email address listed with Ebay.  It is no trouble to do and I am happy to work with buyers so they can use the payment method they prefer.
Some of these patches have been used. If an item is listed as used it may be sewn on, have some dirt on it or have loose threads. I try not to post items with excessive wear because I want you to get good quality items. I try to post good photos of each item but they get shrunk down when they appear in the listing. If you have any questions about condition, please ask me. I can email you the original photo and can make larger scans if you give me enough time. Please ask. I will be happy to give you as much information as I can about an item so that you can make an informed decision about the item before bidding. Thank you for looking at my auction and I hope you will bid.
The Shipping: Shipping will be .00 for buyers in the United States. I will combine shipping if you wait for my invoice. I Ship World Wide. PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE TO PAY FOR YOUR AUCTIONS. I will combine all of your items won onto one invoice and will combine shipping for your items. This saves you money.
Please ask if you want to have auctions from two different weeks combined. I will usually allow this to happen if you see something you want to bid on that is ending the following week, but I won't combine more than two weeks of auctions because I have had problems with non payment in the past.
I do try to check daily to see who has paid to try to get things out quickly, but will always try to make a mailing on Saturdays and Tuesdays
