    Description

    This is rare and highly collectible antique knife attributed to the 18th and 19th century Comancheros who traded with the Great Plains Indians in New Mexico and West Texas, most often the Comanches.
    Attributes: Spear point, with edges still sharp it maintains an unaltered attractive heavy patina indicative of age. It has full tang with a smooth to the touch wood handle.
    Includes sheath in still supple leather.
    Blade measures 7".
    Overall length is 11.75 inches.
    Comancheros most often resided in New Mexico in frontier villages and of a Hispanic or mixed race ethnicity. They have been popularized and mythologized in classic Old West Hollywood films and TV shows including those with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.
