Antique WASHINGTON RUN R. R. Ticket. Layton to Star Junction in Fayette County. Approx. 1915. Marked: “First Class Limited Ticket”..  SCARCE !! ***NO RESERVE.
Interesting little Short Line Railroad ( 4 miles of Track ). It ran from Layton to Star Junction in Fayette County. The Railroad carried Freight and had only one Passenger Car (probably all tickets were First Class for that maximum 4 mile ride)... In that four miles, the RR included a Bridge over the Youghlogheny River and there also was a Tunnel that the Train passed through. The Washington Run R.R. Operated from 1899 - 1931. This probably is a pretty scarce little Ticket.  Nice Short Line Railroad collectible..
