Beautiful Mexican Bowie Knife Eagle Brass Head MONTERREY Marked + Seal of Mexico

Description

Beautiful Large Mexican Bowie Knife with nicely engraved leather scabbard.  Knife measures 13-3/4" overall with a blade length of 8-3/4".  Blade is tight with no looseness anywhere.  Blade shows age patina, wear, use, has not been sharpened and no chips on the blade.  Side of ricasso markings: "GUARANTIZADO MADE IN MEXICO/PENA" ?  with forward arrows.  One side of blade is marked, "MONTERREY" opposite side has etching of a Vaquero on horseback riding in the field. Pommel end is a brass eagle with beak/mouth being the lanyard hole.  The leather sheath is beautifully engraved and has the Seal of Mexico by the throat and a scroll below that marked, "MEXICO". Five stitches have come undone on the bottom point area and needs to be stitched back so point of blade does not slide through.
