This one measures approx. 10" x 11". Can cut to size.This wonderful plaque was hand painted by me with over 20 years experience in selling painted slate in the Pittsburgh area and even through ABBEY PRESS. I collect the slate from roofers replacing out gorgeous old stately homes throughout the Pittsburgh area. I hand-cut each piece. I can make slate decorations for you, look at the items I have for sale and I can make the same item, even in multiples, larger or smaller.
I can add your family name or saying if there is enough room. I don't use stencils...all with my Pittsburgh handwriting!

The largest slates are usually 12" x 22" if I have that size in stock. I hand paint with acrylics and finish the item with acrylic spray which will protect it for years in the inclement weather. Some people prefer to glue foam backing to parts of the back to protect it from breakage as hitting against a solid structure with wind can fracture it since it is possible for slate to have weak spots due to age and years of weather. Just don't cover the entire back with foam, glue or spray paint of it will force the front paint to become unstable. It wants to breathe!
I gladly combine shipping...most small jewelry items will be INCLUDED with the first shipping charge...So even if you buy 10 items I will charge only the weight of the heaviest item! If it is not a jewelry item then will have to calculate based on weight but will get you the lowest combined shipping price. So feel free to look around and let me know when you are finished shopping so I can send you a combined invoice!
Most items we sell are antique or vintage. Unless otherwise stated, all items have been used. They will have normal/typical wear commensurate with age. This is not considered damage. We do our best to describe our items to the best of our ability and in great detail. Any significant faults will be mentioned in the item description. We are selling these items "AS IS", "Where Is", with no Returns. We welcome your questions before the auction is over.
