I am continuing to list items from my brother's downsizing. We do not know which of our relatives attended the 1876 Centennial Fair in Philadelphia and purchased this fan, but it is in remarkable condition, given its age. The colors are bright, the staves are intact, and there are only small tears in the paper of the fan. I show close up photos of 2 of the holes, but there are several more visible when the piece is held up to the light. The fan appears to be a somewhat rare item from what I am able to find on the internet. It is about 11 and 1/2 inches long counting the brass attaching piece when it is closed, and about 17 inches wide when fully open. Please review all photos and descriptions before bidding to understand the condition and avoid disappointment. If you have questions, please email me and I will respond as quickly as I am able.
