Vintage Sheffield-made SABRE model hunter manufactured by the long-gone G. H. Thopmpson Cutlery in Sheffield, England circa 1930th-1950th. This could be a "private purchase" WW2 fighting knife as well as this type was very popular with the Allied troops passing through GB during the war. The overall quality is great; all parts are tight with no play. The blade is a bit pitted and has been cleaned; it’s very sharp still; the tip is intact. Genuine stag handle, aluminum pommel with colored spacers & bronze guard; the handle is tight. The knife is about 9-1/4″ / 23.5 cm overall; the blade is about 5-1/8″ / 13 cm long. Original MADE IN ENGLAND brown leather sheath is in very good condition, considering the age; 2 holes on the front panel are noted for accuracy. The back is signed H.V. Relish.

This is a nice and sturdy Hunter with a well-defined trailng point blade and a very comfortable stag handle. The overall quality is great; all parts are tight with no play. The blade is a bit pitted and has been cleaned and re-sharpened; it’s very sharp still; the tip is intact. Genuine stag handle, aluminum pommel with colored spacers and bronze guard; the handle is tight.  The knife is about 9-1/4″ / 23.5 cm overall; the blade is about 5-1/8″ / 13 cm long.
