    Description

    The railway pass is from the Indianapolis & Madison Railroad for 1864 1864. "A Complimentary Ticket - Not Transferable."
    It was issued to"Rufus Ford Capt Supt Mo River Packets and St. Joseph R.R."
    It is printed in red and green on light card stock , which is now light ivory color. A conditions notice is on the back. The card measures 2.25" X 3.75".
    What looks dark blue in the photos is actually dark green.
    The card is very good condition. It has a light fold mark on the back only.
    Capt. Rufus Ford (1812 - 1896) was a wounded Union Army veteran who worked as a captain and later superintendent, on a Missouri River Packet Shipping Line. He made his home in Illinois.  He was my great-grandfather.
