The Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm Detector, AC-Plug-In with 10-Year Battery Backup & Digital Display, model KN-COP-DP-10YL, features electrochemical sensing technology to protect you & your family from the dangers of carbon monoxide. Operating with an AC Plug-In that can be easily installed in any AC wall outlets and a 10-year, lithium battery backup, the CO detector provides continuous protection from carbon monoxide, even during power outages. The digital display shows the carbon monoxide levels in PPM (parts per million), allowing you to see any changes in levels throughout your home. The display uses LED technology with allows the CO levels to be visible in dark conditions and further distances than other alarms that use less visible LCD components. The digital display will automatically adjust brightness level to adapt to ambient light conditions, which offers both a brighter display during lighted environments and dims to provide a visible, but softer contrast at night. The display deactivates when AC power is removed to conserve battery life. When the CO alarm detects carbon monoxide gas, 4 beeps will sound & a number reading will appear on the digital display that measures the CO concentration. These CO levels will be stored it the detectors memory until its reset. UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty. Meets requirements of UL 2034.
