The Kidde Code One Smoke Detector, Battery Powered with Ionization Sensor, Smoke Alarm, 6-Pack uses one, nine-V alkaline battery so your home is always protected. These detectors will warn you of fire particles, even if the power is out, and they tell you when the battery is low. They can last you up to 10 years before needing to be replaced. These alarms meet requirements of UL 217 NFPA 72, The California State Fire Marshall, MFPA 101 and FHA.
