    Description

    Up
for sale is a gold Stater from the ancient Kingdom of Macedon. Appears to be an Alexander the Great piece. It has a serpent-looking mint mark. Appears to have VF or better detail, but was likely a jewelry piece. Still has some glue residue on the edge, and the obverse has some pitting. Small stain toward one edge, possibly from acid.
I'm fairly sure it is genuine, but I have full returns.
    Measures about 18mm wide.
    Total weight is 8.3 grams.
