?This is an ORIGINAL and RARE theater-made in Italy insignia for the famed Darby's Rangers.  I purchased this patch from Bob Chatt on November 29, 1998 at the SOCALMICS militaria show in Bellflower, CA.
Bob may recall this sale, so feel free to contact him at his Vintage Productions store in Huntington Beach, CA or his website to authenticate this insignia.
Unlike most theater-made insignia, the workmanship is quite good. The lettering is unfrayed and very legible. I would rate this tab as being in VERY GOOD+ condition and is 4.5" wide and 2.25" high.
So, here's an opportunity for the advanced insignia collector to obtain a very rare Ranger insignia from the War in the Mediterranean Theater.  The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and a five-day (
not the 14-days that they insert in my listings without my consent
) right of inspection and return/refund privilege, excluding postage.  However, I can't imagine that the buyer will not love this rare patch.
