This is a Lap easel, for POCHADE*
and/or entry-level PLEIN AIR
painting.
It will fit in your lap, your backpack, under the seat of your car.
This will be a wonderful, inexpensive, box if you have been wanting to take up PLEIN AIR painting.
Handcrafted utilizing an 'AVO Maduro' Cigar Box, hand made in the Dominican Republic

Weighs 1 lb-5 oz empty.
Measures; 8 w x 8 1/2 L x 2 3/4 D

The Palette measures 7 x 7 1/2 inches.
This box also has a tripod mount in it.
(will attach to any walking stick/monopod or tripod your camera will attach to.)
The brass handle was added as lid support.

In it, you can carry 12-40ml tubes of paint, assorted brushes, a pencil, a palette knife, and a small composition aid.

- A small color sketch, usually in oil paint. A pochade
is often a rough little landscape, typically produced away from the studio, with the intention of referring to it later in the studio in order to paint a larger, more developed version. A pochade box is a sketch box, a very portable container for carrying oil-painting supplies on field trips.
When, and if, you do upgrade to a larger professional box, this will always be the 'go-to' for POCHADE* paintings.
