  • Condition: It is not an open box. It has never been opened, but the plastic package has a couple of cracks along the edge (not even visible with the photograph). I purchased it brand new. It has never been opened or removed from it's original packaging. I know I'm stating the same thing twice; I just want to be intentional about the item being brand new.

    Description

    Sonin 45, Electronic Distance Measuring tool.  BRAND NEW AND FACTORY SEALED.
    NOTE: The (never oppened) large plastic packaging has a small crack at two corners. That effects nothing regarding this instrument. I guarantee that... I just wanted to give full discolosure.
    I was a licensed residential contractor for 38 years. In that time I used many measuring instruments, transets and lasers of many types. This instrument was never used. As stated, it remains factory sealed. the instructions are also sealed in the original container.  This is a quality measuring tool.
    How it is used: It simply measures in a straight line to the nearest point of contact (an invisible laser line). So from the wall you are measuring from to the next wall you are pointing towards (or the next beam, or hallway, or whatever solid surface). All it takes is a 9 volt battery. From experience with many laser pieces of equipment, a fresh battery will give you at least a year worth of service, depending upon your use of the instrument.   This instrument will not replace a tape measure if you are measuring trim for a door or floor.  But it will in seconds give you a very accurate measurement for carpet, or flooring.  It will also measure roof square footage, or the area needed to pour concrete.  It's a very versitle tool, and it's brand new...
