Description
This style of easel appears to be unique. The base is considered "French Style" and has a solid platform instead of the tripod normally thought of with an easel. This takes up less room in a smaller work area or on a table. Useful for either creating art or displaying art or signage, this style can easily be flattened and stored in a small space. Made of solid birch, there are multiple large machine screws with washers and wing nuts wherever two pieces of birch meet. These can easily be adjusted to allow the wooden pieces to flatten or to change angle. This provides great versatility to the easel and provides for a multitude of uses. The adjustable clamp at the top of the easel is9 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide. Controlled by especially long machine screws at either end, this clamp could easily attach to items 2 inches in depth and the screws below the clamp allow for an uncountable number of angles to best capture the light in a display situation. This clamp would accommodate small prints just as nicely.
When fully extended, this arm and clamp measure 33 inches without the 2 1/2 inch tall base. The French Style base that the arm attaches to measures 16 inches in width and is 13 1/2 inches in depth. It is well designed to provide a solid foundation for the display or artwork. When the easel is flattened, it occupies a rectangular space of about 14"X 18". Near the base of the easel, two additional small pieces of wood can be flipped forward to act as a lower shelf or ledge for an item to rest on whether held by the top clamp or not. These can be left vertical and out of the way if the displayed item is resting on the table surface, however. This easel should be able to accommodate items as much as 29 inches in height and almost anything of a smaller size. This easel is well designed and well constructed. It has been very gently used and is in near perfect condition. Thank you for looking.
