    Description

The Navy Electrician rating was established in 1883, then promptly disestablished in 1884, only to be re-established as a Navy rating in 1898. The Electrician rating changed to its current name, Electrician's Mate, in 1921.
Nice example of the World War II era US Navy rating for an Electrician's Mate 3rd Class. This is the white cotton version, intended for wear on the Navy summer white jumper. Appears to have been removed from a uniform, which means this was actually part of the history that we collect!
The rate remains in good condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. Age toning and loose threads are evident, but displays well. Please see the pictures for more detail.
Guaranteed 100% authentic in every respect for life. Be sure to see our other items for more historical antiques and militaria. Be sure to follow our store as new inventory is added daily.
